Review Process

In my Review Process. I try to be as thorough as I can. Golf Balls can differ with only minimal adjustments. So every detail matters. Here below is how my review process works:

1: Introduction: This is usually a short intro, where I discuss the ball we are reviewing. I also like to discuss specifics about the company and the reason the golf ball was produced.

2: Design: This is usually a variety of different elements. I talk about multiple aspects of the golf balls design. Does it come in multiple colors? Does it have a usable alignment tool? Does the coating feel premium?

3: Chipping and Putting: I take the ball out to the putting green, where I test the check up spin on short chips around the  green as well as the feel and feedback coming off the wedge. When putting, I check for the feedback, forgiveness on mis-hits, and the true roll of the golf ball.

4: Performance numbers: I test with 5 golf clubs in total. Using a FlightScope Mevo+, I look at the following metrics for my 9 iron, 7 iron, 5 hybrid, and Driver:

Spin
Carry Distance
Total Distance
Ball Speed
Launch Angle

I check spin only with a sand wedge for 50 yard pitch numbers as well.

5: Durability: After all this testing, Usually 70-80 shots, I check the golf ball for scratching, cuts, or any blemishes that would alter ball flight or putting.

6: Conclusion: I wrap up by giving my overall closing thoughts and stating who I think the golf ball would be best for. I also share where the golf ball would fall in our top 100 ranking!
